  • Site specific engineering for Canberra's reactive clay, frost and rock
  • A fixed price agreed before excavation ever starts

What is included.

Site preparation and excavation

Every build starts with a proper assessment of your soil, access and slope, not a guess from a photo. We excavate to the engineered depth for your design, managing spoil removal and site protection as we go.

Engineering and steel

Canberra's reactive clay soil means the engineering behind a pool matters as much as the finish on top. We work to a soil specific structural design, with steel reinforcement fixed to that engineering before any concrete or shell goes in.

Forming, pouring and shell placement

Depending on your chosen construction method, this stage is either forming and pouring a fully custom concrete shell on site, or craning a fibreglass or precast shell into the finished excavation. Either way, the same crew that quoted your job carries it through.

Compliance and inspections

Structural, plumbing and electrical work is signed off at each required stage, and we coordinate the inspections your certificate of occupancy depends on, so nothing gets missed at handover.

From bare earth to a quiet morning swim.

No delays and no surprises. A straightforward pool build with one crew and one point of contact.

1

Site assessment and soil report

We confirm access, slope and soil conditions, and organise any soil report your design requires before excavation begins.

2

Excavation and engineering sign off

Your site is excavated to the engineered profile, with structural steel and formwork checked before the next stage proceeds.

3

Shell placement or pour

Your shell is craned into place, or your concrete pool is poured and finished, depending on the construction method you have chosen.

4

Backfill and rough plumbing

Backfilling, plumbing and electrical rough in are completed, setting up the site for coping, paving and fencing.

About fibreglass, timelines and getting council approval in Canberra.

How long does pool construction take?

This depends heavily on your chosen construction method. A fibreglass or precast build can be structurally complete within days of excavation, while a fully custom poured concrete build generally takes several weeks to cure and finish properly at each stage.

We assess access and ground conditions at the quote stage, so rock, tight side access or a sloping block are priced into your fixed quote rather than becoming a surprise once excavation starts.

Yes. We arrange any required soil report and work to a structural engineering design suited to your specific site, rather than a generic specification.

Construction refers to the structural build itself, excavation, engineering, forming or shell placement, while installation covers the full end to end project including paving, fencing, equipment and handover. Our installation service covers both.

Yes, though frosts and wet ground can affect scheduling and curing times for a concrete pour. We plan timing around the season and your design so the structural work is not compromised.
